August N. Santillo Jr., IACCP®
As Chief Compliance Officer, August oversees JFS’ compliance program. In his role, he prepares regulatory filings, updates disclosure documents, conducts annual employee compliance training, and maintains the Firm’s Business Continuity Plan. As an integration team member, August assists with mergers and acquisitions. In the past, he has served as a member of the Wellness, Charity, and Values Committees.
During his senior year of college, August served as an intern for JFS in the Asset Management and Operations departments. He assisted both departments through various tasks, including an extensive cost basis reconciliation project. Prior to rejoining JFS in November 2014, he worked as a Default Specialist in the consumer loan center of PNC Financial Services.
August is a graduate of Westminster College (PA), where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. He earned his Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®) designation through National Regulatory Services in 2016.
Active in community life, August is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Shenango, a local leadership program administered by the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as the Treasurer and a voting member on the board of directors for St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sharon, PA. Previously involved in Thrive Shenango Valley, he was the Chair of the Thrive Advocate Committee. Currently, he volunteers through opportunities presented by the Young Professionals of the Valley.
Outside of work, August resides in Sharpsville, PA with his husband. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, attending local community events, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
